Make Your Mess Your Message
Emmy-winning ABC's Good Morning America Co-anchor Robin Roberts remembers when she was battling myelodysplastic syndrome, a disorder that stemmed from previous treatment for breast cancer.
“When I was first diagnosed, I wasn’t going to tell anyone,” Robin said. “But my mother’s advice was to make your mess your message. I learned that it takes a lot of courage to get up and to know that the best is yet to come.“
I recently came across the short film "Do You?" inspired by Charles Bukowski poem "Bluebird" and immediately picked up the phone to congratulate Zhanna, the beautiful lady performing:
"Oh Rosário, we shot the film last August. I was going through a rough time (...) and my life was very much upside down. You know, Madeira Island and the
Reid's are home to me, so that's where I went back to, for a while, to overcome a messy moment. I
was introduced to Bukowski's for the first time while working at the Reid's. The idea came up, of making the movie with Kenny, based on the "Bluebird" poem that reflected perfectly what was going inside of me. I had to carry on running my business and shooting different promotional campaigns. There was no time to be down".
Zhanna Safronova is a young hotelier and entrepreneur, a Stamina candidate.
She recently launched her own PR business online and she is doing great at Evencoarse. "Do You?" will be screened asap in several Short Film Festivals in the UK and more. They'll get the awards.
