We are a group of experienced hoteliers with consolidated careers in the hospitality industry.
Stamina’s forefront is backed up by a team of experts in psychology, law, finance and accounting services.
We also partner with great creative minds and entrepreneurs from various sectors, who challenge us into idea generation through their brilliant vision and work.
As passionate hoteliers we believe that whoever serves in this industry is a powerful giver. We believe that hoteliers positively impact people lives and make a meaningful difference in the world.
Triggering positive emotions on
customers through service, resources and facilities, implementing
an inspiring management culture and especially being accountable for
delivering financial results?
It can be a spicy recipe which requires strategy, high levels of creativity, a broad mindset, self-awareness, resilience and empathy. But that's us!
Our purpose is to support hoteliers along that challenging journey, thriving all the way. To rise critical mass in the industry, towards better leadership systems, aligned teams and sustainable companies.
The “Kitchen Cabinet” term has been used throughout history to refer to a group of unofficial advisers to the holder of an elected office who are considered to be unduly influential.
At Stamina we engage, listen and share points of view with experts from our and other industries. We do love to discuss ideas, new concepts, to disrupt and to contribute to set bold business trends.
Preferably around the table.
Eventually sharing an exquisite bottle of wine.

Born and raised on a Portugal costal town, between the simplicity of beach life and the glamour of Casino’ soirées where my Father used to work, it is easy to explain where my passion for Hospitality comes from. Home was always packed with family and friends. Different languages were spoken. Food was varied and abundant, and so was wine.
Soon, Michelin Maps were up on the table to plan travels, and off we went.
On each family trip we allowed ourselves a stay in a luxury hotel, which my brother and I really appreciated. My first French gastronomic experience was hosted in a private home near Toulouse, I was no older than 7. On our way back home from that France tour, we got an impressive cheese assortment in the trunk. By the time we got to the Pyrénées, Mom refused to carry on travelling with it (she still can't stand Roquefort. She's still the leader. And an amazing cook too).
From those family travels it was only a quick step to the Oporto Tourism and Hospitality School. Then hotel operations followed, climbing the ladder to management positions and on to Sales and Marketing. The latter gave me the possibility to continue traveling the world with a few stops in Egypt and in the United States (Cornell University). I had the privilege of working for amazing people and companies (i.e. Four Seasons and Belmond - owner of the legendary Orient Express train and now part of LVMH) who trusted and invested in me, and built a global network of brilliant hospitality professionals, chefs, travel agents, artists, entertainers and top leaders. I served Heads of State, Royalty and yes, I hugged Diana Krall in a moment of vulnerable happiness, discussed dinner with Mr. Bon Jovi, hosted the discreet Sting on several occasions and hold in my arms the Red Hot kids, as the band travelled with their families. And that’s when Talent starts to make sense. My curiosity for people, their stories, leadership styles, skills, values and their purpose, would become one of my greatest assets, and here we are.
I believe that in the service industry, we have to be bold by being powerful givers focused on providing well-being to customers, be accountable leaders taking good care of our teams and giving back to our communities (hotels are the beacon for certain destinations) and especially, perform as strategic executives by achieving those ambitious financial goals. It's sometimes a kind of spicy recipe as people, emotions and money tend to clash.
But we love it!
